“Two years ago, my wife Donna and I decided to put an addition on our home instead of moving. Since I was affiliated with LUCIDONIO CONSTRUCTION and their design-build quality craftsmanship through Cairone and Kaupp, I decided to interview him for my home project. LUCIDONIO CONSTRUCTION commenced work on April 15th and we were sitting enjoying a glass of wine in our new space a week before the fourth of July.

Mark Lucidonio’s work is a ministry. He is a contractor who leads, guides and teaches you through every phase of your design project. We first met Mark when we wanted to update our bathroom. The moment we took him into the bathroom, it was clear that Mark could see possibilities we could not. From installing a new bathroom, to replacing a new roof, to installing new windows on the first floor and the second floor, to building a closet in a spare bedroom, to updating the lighting in our kitchen, to designing and redoing our basement, Mark not only supervises the work but coordinates the entire project until it is finished to perfection.

Recently we noticed what we thought was a minor leak coming from our family room window. On Sunday we called Mark and on Tuesday morning he was standing in our family room with concern and expertise we had never experienced from any other contractor. This leak was the result of years of water getting between the siding and the house. This resulted in totally tearing down and rebuilding the entire front of the house. All the wood needed to be replaced due to water damage, termite damage and mold. Mark and his crew worked 3 twelve-hour days to replace all the wood, to jack up the second floor joist and to build a missing header above the family room window. He accepted this challenge with confidence and experience, knowing that he and his crew could complete the work and complete it the right way.

So what makes Mark different from other contractors?

Mark works in your home like it is his. The ceilings in the bathroom and spare bedroom are slanted. What a challenge to make them seamless. When the windows on the first floor were replaced, Mark replaced them HIMSELF! We had installed window treatments and instead of having someone come and take them down and reinstall them, Mark offered to put the windows by himself so we did not have to incur an additional expense. There is not one smudge, tear or mark on any of the seven window treatments.

Mark gets back to you when you call him. Mark is an effective communicator. He keeps the client involved in the project so he is clear about your expectations and spends time with you answering any of your questions. Mark supervises the crew and if the work is not completed perfectly, it is redone. Mark works with his crew. He does not ask his men to do what he himself would not do. The contractors that he brings to the project have the same work ethic that he does. Mark understands that you are paying hard-earned money for what is being done in your home. His work ethic reflects that the work be done correctly. It is no surprise to us that Mark has been in business since 1986, and has never had to advertise since all his clients are referred. Recently we had a family party and because everyone who entered our home had nothing but compliments about Mark’s craftsmanship, we placed his cards around for everyone to take.
